Dear friends and aspiring investment bankers,

UIBS 2017 is now officially opened! Welcome back to UK’s largest finance competition, the UK Investment Banking Series (UIBS)! We are the nation’s most professional and well-connected competition on IB, co-organised by top finance societies across UCL, LSE, Imperial, King’s, Warwick and Oxford. Past UIBS participants have received invaluable insights into the actual IB work, and gone on to secure competitive internships in the City.

There’s two competitions, the M&A Challenge and the S&T Challenge, that you can compete in with teams of up to 5 (M&A) and teams of 3 (S&T).

M&A CHALLENGE
In the M&A challenge, teams will be given a case study of a recent European acquisition, and be asked to analyse the target company and advise on deal execution. Following a preliminary pitchbook submission, the highest quality entries will be progressed to the Final Round, where each team will pitch their case to a board of prominent industry judges.
The overall winning team will be awarded a £300 cash prize and a Certificate of Distinction.

SALES & TRADING CHALLENGE
In the S&T Challenge, teams experience the realistic interactions between buy side Hedge Funds (HF) and sell side Investment Banks (IB). Following a 2-week preliminary stock-picking challenge, the highest net P&L teams will be invited to the Final Round, where they will compete in two rounds of trading, once as an Investment Bank (IB) and once as a Hedge Fund (HF).
Following both rounds, the best performing HF team and best performing IB team will receive £300 cash prizes each, a one week internship at Amplify Trading, and Certificates of Distinction.
