The Oxford student body is very excited to host this momentous occasion and looks forward to an inspiring and insightful talk from such an influential and high profile speaker as the legendary Lil Jon. We are thrilled to say ‘turn down for what’!
Following one of the biggest speakers in the last 15 years in the form of Kanye West, the illustrious and award winning Oxford Guild Society, after a great deal of hard work and extensive negotiations, is excited to bring you another huge figure from the music industry and one of the biggest speakers of the term! Lil Jon is flying over from the US and would like to give an intimate talk to the select lucky group of students who are successful in the ballot. As a result, we are capping the capacity for the event!
We would like to request that you email contact@theoxfordguild.com as soon as possible with any questions you might wish to hear Lil Jon answer. We will select some of them to ask him during the event.
The Guild is very keen to ensure that all Oxford University students are given a chance to hear from Lil Jon and will be uploading a full video of the talk after the event. The Guild is always staying ahead of the game with technology, as shown by our recent revolutionary intranet launch, and will be live streaming the event for for those of you who cannot make it on our Periscope (follow @TheOxfordGuild), one of the hottest new apps that has recently been acquired by Twitter!
The Guild has a unique, tried and tested, successful award-winning ticketing policy for its largest scale speakers and social events. We do not want students to waste their afternoons queuing, only not to be let in and to be left disappointed. Nor do we want students to ballot and then not turn up leaving empty seats which have been taken by others.
We aim to minimise these risks by opening a random ballot. Please sign up here: http://tinyurl.com/LilJonAtTheOxfordGuild. Please note this event is ONLY OPEN TO STUDENTS and you need to sign up with an EDUCATIONAL email address. We will then completely randomly select students and release tickets for you to purchase for only £2 through Eventbrite – you will have two hours in which to buy your ticket before the link expires. If you cannot purchase your ticket in that time for any reason we will randomly select another person who has balloted and release one for them. You will only be notified if you have been successful. No tickets will be available on the door. Name transfers are not permitted. Please arrive 30 minutes before. No latecomers will be permitted.
There will be 2 releases:
