The Oxford Guild is delighted to be hosting Tony Parker, National Treasurer of the US Republican Party on Monday 25th May (5th week) to speak about “How much does it cost to win the White House?”. We are excited to welcome Tony to give us an insider’s view on the current state of American politics and the influence that money currently has in politics.
Tony Parker was re-elected in January to an historic third term as Treasurer of the US Republican National Committee. He served as Treasurer for the 2012 Republican Convention and also served on President George W. Bush’s national finance team. Tony was the District of Columbia’s Republican National Committeeman for 8 years from 2004 to 2012 and served as a delegate to the 2000, 2004, 2008 and 2012 Republican conventions.
Tony is also the founder and CEO of Parker Tide Corp, a government contracting company providing human resource, procurement and adjudication resources to the federal government, with projects in 12 states. Tony founded the company and grew it from a small personnel agency to a solutions based Federal Government contracting company spanning 16 states. Tony Is currently responsible for the strategic direction and overall management of Parker Tide. Previously, Tony spent over 20 years practicing corporate and tax law. Tony Parker is on the Board of directors of four NASDAQ companies and is currently the Chairman of the Audit Committee of all four of those companies.
Tony is a Vietnam War Veteran (US Navy), was an undergraduate at Harvard College and did his law degree and a Master’s in Tax Law at Georgetown Law Center. Tony’s late wife, Margaret Alexander Parker, was also the Finance Director of the RNC from 1989 to 1993 and from 1997 to 2001.
