Access to funding continues to be one of the most important issues facing entrepreneurs, whether they’re starting a new business, or looking to grow it. Please join us for an evening of lively debate on; why this funding gap exists, who is responsible for solving it, how the UK can learn from other countries, and what role crowdfunding can play. Antony Jenkins, Barclays Group Chief Executive, will host the event, with the Said Business School’s Professor Thomas Hellmann chairing the panel debate made up of Barclays CTO Michael Harte and Principal of Hertford College, Oxford Chair of the Big Innovation Centre and former Editor-in-Chief of the Observer, Will Hutton. Antony Jenkins is the Group Chief Executive of Barclays. Previously, he was Chief Executive of Barclays Retail and Business Banking, a position he held since November 2009. Antony is a member of the Board of Directors for the Institute of International Finance, Cranfield School of Management and Catalyst. He is the Chairman of Business in the Community and the Banking Environment Initiative, an International Advisory Panel member for the Money Authority of Singapore, and an advisor to the Acumen Fund.
